Introduction

The Medical Assessment Report is an official document that is issued by a UAE government entity and it proves that the person has been medically checked by professional health workers and they certify that the person belong to the POD category. This document is a pre-requisite for providing various facilities to the POD individuals, usually by issuing a POD card.

How to get the Medical Assessment Report

There are various options to get this report, these are:

  1. From Future Rehabilitation Center
  2. From SEHA
  3. From Zayed Higher Organization (ZHO)

Visit Al Mushrif Children's Specialty Center and ask for POD Assessment from a Paediatric Neurologist. The Paediatric Neurologist would then ask basic questions and issue an official medical assessment document (in English).

Download ZHO Mobile App (Apple / Android) and apply for an appointment for assessment.

The assessment is a 2-day long process where you and your POD child need to see the on duty Medical Doctor, Psychiatrist, Neurologist, Occupational Therapist & Speech Therapist. The process is long and some times it takes more time, its advised to arrive early and inform your workplace that you would be late.

Once the assessment is completed, you will receive the assessment report via email. This 5+ paged report is in Arabic. You can also request for an English report via ZHO's WhatsApp number +971 2 3056666 or you can use Google Translate.

ZHO will also automatically start the process of generating your child's ZHO POD ID Card and you will be informed once its ready. This card opens door to many benefits and facilities within Abu Dhabi, read the article for more details.
